The Space Between Practices
The Next Room brings together six young artists working across sculpture, painting, and drawing: Luke Hamel Cooke, Adriana Wynne Ronson, Ginger Snow Semmelhack, Reiji Shimane, Nadia Younes, and Zack Sanyour.
The exhibition stages distinct practices in deliberate proximity, opening a shared field in which form, surface, line, and material enter into quiet dialogue. Rather than proposing a single narrative, the works are bound by an attentiveness to process and presence, to the conditions through which objects are shaped, handled, marked, and perceived across time.
Difference is not resolved but held in suspension. Points of resonance emerge through adjacency and encounter, allowing each practice to remain autonomous while responsive to the others. Moving through the exhibition becomes an act of threshold and passage, inviting close looking, spatial awareness, and a heightened sensitivity to material and gesture.
